Dr. Eric Hoskins, Ontario’s Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, state that doctors salaries have risen 61 percent since 2003, when Liberals took over. OHIP billings do not equal salary.
“The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care will implement 10 changes to physician services payments. These include fees and payments wherever possible so that Ontarians are paying the right amount for the right services. Doctors will still be able to provide any and all services for their patients that they feel required,” said Dr. Hoskins.
The talk of cutting $580-million from the health care budget, will not improve the care our patients receive. Dr. Hoskins is not the one to fully blame here, we also have to blame Premier Kathleen Wynne and Treasury Board President Deb Matthews; which both have no medical training which doesn’t help them to manage our health care system.
Here are a few of the facts:
Over the past 11 years, under Dalton McGuinty and Ms. Wynne, the Liberals have blown billions of tax dollars, trying to dig their way out of scandals. All this could have contributed to a lot of health care.
